Removing Canopy Shield from a mobile device with an Accountability Partner

Removing Canopy Shield from a device that is protected under an Accountability Partner, must be approved by the ally. 

To send request for removal follow this Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Open the Canopy Shield app on your device.

  2. Access the side menu in the app.

  3. Select “Remove Application” from the menu options.

  4. Send Removal Request: Tap the button to submit your request to your Ally.

  5. Wait for a response: Your Ally will either approve or deny the request.

    • Approved: Removal Protection is temporarily disabled. You can now remove the app by repeating the process (go to the app → side menu → remove).

    • Denied: Removal Protection remains active, and the app cannot be removed. You receive a notification explaining the decision.

Important Notes

  • You cannot bypass your Ally’s approval without contacting support.

  • If you need to remove the app regardless of the Ally’s response or if no response is received, contact support. Removal can be handled manually in a secure and controlled way.
