Can I Copy Settings Between Device Profiles?

At this time, Canopy does not support copying or duplicating settings between device profiles.

Each device profile is managed and configured independently.

What Isn’t Possible

  • Copying filtering settings from one child/device profile to another
  • Duplicating app rules, categories, or screen time limits between profiles
  • Syncing settings automatically across multiple devices

What You Can Do

If you are setting up a new device and want to keep the same configuration, you can reuse an existing device profile:

  1. Remove the profile from the old device
  2. Install Canopy on the new device
  3. Sign in and assign the existing profile to the new device

What Carries Over

When reusing a device profile, all of its settings remain the same, including:

  • Filtering settings
  • App rules
  • Time limits
  • Protection configuration
