Canopy lets you schedule times when internet access will be paused on a protected device. You can create recurring scheduled pauses, such as bedtime or study time.

Scheduled pauses can be configured from either the Canopy Dashboard or the Canopy Management App.

Schedule a Pause from the Canopy Dashboard

1. Open the Canopy Dashboard.

2. Select the child's device profile.

3. Under Protection Status, select Show more.

4. Select Pause Internet.

5. In the Schedule Pause section, select Add new.

Setup Details

When creating a scheduled pause:

• Enter a name for the pause, such as Bedtime.

• Select the days of the week when the pause should apply.

• Set the start and end times.

The scheduled pause will automatically apply to the selected device according to the schedule.

Edit or Remove a Scheduled Pause

To modify an existing scheduled pause:

1. Open Pause Internet.

2. Locate the scheduled pause.

3. Select Edit.

4. Make the desired changes and save them.

To remove a scheduled pause, open its edit screen and select Delete.

Schedule a Pause from the Canopy Management App

You can also create and manage scheduled internet pauses directly from the Canopy Management App.

1. Open the Canopy Management App (the parent app).

2. Select the device for which you want to configure the scheduled pause.

3. From the bottom navigation bar, select Times & Limits.

4. In Times & Limits, select the Pause Internet tab.

5. Next to Scheduled Pause, select Add new.

Setup Details

When creating a scheduled pause:

• Enter a name for the pause, such as Bedtime.

• Select the days of the week when the pause should apply.

• Set the start and end times.

Save the schedule to apply it to the selected device.

Important

Pause Internet is the current name for this feature. If you see older references to Focus Time, they refer to the same scheduled internet-pause functionality.

Scheduled pauses affect internet access on the selected protected device during the configured times.
