How does Down Time work?

The Down Time feature allows you to set limits on when the protected device can use the internet. Account managers can schedule recurring Down Time at particular times. On a Down Time, your protected device will not be able to use the internet.

On Android, non-essential apps will also be blocked.

Internet Breaks will not disable essential features, such as the ability to make phone calls or send text messages.

To set up Down Time, open the Canopy app or log into Canopy dashboard on your computer.

  1. Select the protected device profile you want to set a break for and open Settings.
  2. Open the Down Time tab
  3. Tap Add Down Time to create one or Edit to adjust or discard one  that you have created. You can name your break, select the days of the week it will take place and set whatever start and end time you want.
