Screen Time

Screen Time

Canopy Shield’s Screen Time feature helps you track the daily amount of screen time on a protected device.

With this feature, you can:
✅ See how much time a protected device has been used each day.
✅ View up to 14 days of screen time history.
✅ Check the average daily screen time over the past two weeks.
✅ Get a graph displaying hourly usage throughout the day.

Where to Find Screen Time

You can view screen time data in your Canopy Dashboard or the Canopy parental app under the protected device’s settings.

Understanding the Data

  • If the device was just installed, data collection starts immediately, and you’ll see screen time information after some usage.

  • If the device has been active for less than 7 days, you’ll see limited data, but it will build up over time.

  • If the device has been protected for more than 7 days, you’ll see a full 14-day history and the average daily usage.

How Often is the Data Updated?

  • Screen time updates automatically throughout the day.

  • You can also manually refresh the data for the most recent usage.

This feature gives you better insight into device usage, helping you manage screen time effectively!

⚠️ Screen Time tracking requires the device to have a screen lock enabled (PIN, password, or biometrics).
