Installing Canopy Shield on Xiaomi devices

🚨 Important: Xiaomi requires Enterprise Mode for full protection.

Step 1: Download & Install Canopy Shield

  1. Use the installation link from the Canopy Dashboard or the Canopy parental control app.
  2. Alternative method: Open canopy.us/install on the Android device.
  3. Tap Install Shield → You will be redirected to the Google Play Store.
  4. Press Install to download and install Canopy Shield.

Step 2: Log In & Assign Device

  1. Open Canopy Shield and tap I have an account.
  2. Log in with your admin email and password.
  3. Select the profile of the Shield user for this device.

Step 3: Install the Security Certificate

  1. Android 12-14: Allow installing Security certificate.
  2. Android 15+: Navigate to More Security Settings → Encryption and Credentials → Install a Certificate → CA Certificates.
  3. Tap Install Anyway if prompted.
  4. Select myca.crt from the Downloads folder.
  5. Enter your screen lock password if required.

Step 4: Enable Uninstall Protection & Complete Setup

  1. Enable Uninstall Protection (optional).
  2. Approve final permissions → Tap Open App.
    ✅ Setup complete! Canopy Shield is now protecting this device.
